What are the characteristics of each formula?

1. General Beauty Soap: Palm oil-based soap contains several moisturizers such as different types of oil, moisture components, various extracts, and other beneficial ingredients produced by an automatic manufacturing process. Abundant foam and highly efficient cleansing results with adequate hydration is the main point of general beauty soap and the unit price is comparatively low.

2. Deep & Rich Hydration Soap: The soap contains 10-15% of coconut oil soap base with various high-quality organic vegetable oils such as olive oil blended with its optimal mixture ratio. The texture is a little bit too soft, but the method is applied to a high-quality product considering its dermotropic features and effective deep and rich moisturization.

3. Transparent Soap: The soap contains fatty acids derived from palm oil with various moisturizers such as oil, hydrating components, extracts, and beneficial additives for the skin. The method is applied for making a transparent soap, but the cleansing effect is not as good as other soaps and hard to store.

4. Natural Aged Oil Soap: The soap is made with the cold-press method that prevents the loss or transformation of beneficial components of organic vegetable oils such as olive oil, macadamia nut oil, shea butter and apricot kernel oil and aged for 45 days. It provides high-quality cleansing results, generates a find veil to lock-in moisture and offers deep and rich hydration and nutrition with various hydrating components such as natural glycerol. The method is generally applied for the highest quality products. However, the cost is high and the production period is long.

What are the features of each raw material?

Palm oil: Palm oil creates dense foam, moisturizes skin and provides a washing effect.
Coconut oil: Coconut oil has an excellent hydrating effect, permeates skin quickly, relieves skin inflammation, and is antibacterial.
Olive oil: Olive oil contains abundant vitamin E, hydrates skin, removes impurities and effectively soothes skin.
Aloe vera: Aloe vera is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, hydrates skin and effectively soothes skin.
Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid is a natural hydrating component with an excellent long-lasting moisturization effect and strengthens dermal tissues' function.
NA-PCA: NA-PCA moisturizes skin and the horny layer, keeps them hydrated and controls skin moisture as a key ingredient of natural hydrating components.
Shea butter: Shea butter provides deep and rich hydration even effectively on dry skin and enhances resilience.
Allantoin: Allantoin forms healthy skin cells and helps to treat skin disease as a tranquilizer.
Niacinamide: Niacinamide protects and nourishes skin with effective brightening results.
Salicylic acid: Salicylic acid is fat-soluble and removes skin flakes. It is effective in acne-prone skin.
Bergamot oil: Bergamot oil calms skin troubles and soothes skin.
Arbutin: Arbutin restrains the activation of melanin and provides skin brightening effect.

What is the individual process?

The processes of the development are as follows.
1. Concept Raw Material:  In general, 0.1% (up to 0.5%) of concept raw material is added and for a particular material, the client shall provide it.
2. Formulation Decision Referring to the concept and texture, a soap is defined as a general, deeply hydrating, and handmade soap.
3. Scent, Shape, color:Decide the scent, shape and color.
4. Weight Decision: From 25g to 120g available.
5. Lab Test Sample Production: Provide 3-4 soap squares weighing about 20g.
6. Prescription Decision: Confirm the contents after sample evaluation.
7. Mold Production: No pre mold. All molds are tailored to each customer. Therefore, molds shall be generated after the final decision from the sample evaluation.
8. Mold Production Request: When a client sends us a design, Natural Way Korea Inc. contacts a professional mold manufacturer and delivers a quotation back to the client after reviewing manufacturing processes and cost. When a client decides to create molds, it will take about 10 business days to the final outcome after an order. (In general, the cost is between 0.9-1.6 million won.)
9. Packing Specification Confirmation: After finalizing packing specifications, a client shall provide subsidiary materials for packing.
10. Unit Price Confirmation: Natural Way Korea Inc. shall provide a quotation to a client after setting the content and packing specification.
11. Delivery: Commonly, General soap/Deep & Rich hydration soap/Transparent soap needs 4 weeks. Natural aged oil soap needs 8 weeks.

How much are the unit price and minimum order quantity (MOQ) of a soap?

Accepted Answer

1. Unit Price:
Soaps are roughly classified into four categories and the unit price per 100g depends on its texture and packing specifications as follows. (Subsidiary materials excluded)
- General soap About 600-800 won (The minimum order quantity is 10,000.)
- Deep & Rich hydration soap About 1,400-1,600 won (The minimum order quantity is 10,000.)
- Natural aged oil soap About 2,000-2,200 won (The minimum order quantity is 5,000.)
- Transparent soap About 1,200-1,400 won (The minimum order quantity is 5,000.)
※The unit price is subject to change depending on the price of raw materials and subsidiary materials.
2. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
The soap MOQ per 100g depends on the texture as follows.
- General soap, Deep & Rich hydration soap: 10,000ea
- Natural aged oil soap 5,000ea

What kind of fragrance material options for soap are there?

Accepted Answer

The soap fragrance materials are roughly divided into natural ones and artificial ones. The natural fragrance materials are also categorized into animal-based and plant-based.
1. Natural Fragrant Materials: The fragrance comes from natural and organic ingredients, but the cost is high and it contains allergens.
1) Plant based
①Flowers - Rose, Jasmine, Mimosa, Chamomile, Tuberose, etc.
②Leaves - Bay, Geranium, Peppermint, Basil, Marjoram, etc.
③Fruits/Vegetables - Pepper, Celery, etc.
④Roots - Orris, Vetiver, etc.
⑤Fruit Skin - Orange, Lemon, Bergamot, etc.
⑥Trees - Sandalwood, Cedar, Gaiac wood, etc.
⑦Moss - Oak, moss, etc.
2) Animal based
①Ambergris - a solid mass of sperm whales
②Musk - an incense pouch of musk deer
③Civet - a pouch in the genital region of civets
④Beaver - an incense pouch of beaver
2. Artificial Fragrance Materials:
Artificial fragrance materials are generally made from chemical reactions, which are inexpensive and removes possible allergens.

What kind of color options do you have?

Accepted Answer

Colors can be embodied with natural pigments and artificial pigments. However, when soap has too vivid a color, it may dye its surroundings. Extremely vivid colors are not recommended.
 
1. Natural Pigment: Colors are embodied with natural ingredients and direct sunlight may fade the color. The available color options are as follows.

2. Artificial Pigment: Artificial pigment is made from chemical synthesis, which creates splendid and various colors. When a client provides a Pantone color of a targeted color, Natural Way Korea Inc. checks and confirms the availability of the color realization.

Question 7

How can I decide the shape of a soap?

Accepted Answer

After a final decision with the content lab sample evaluation, a client shall create a mold.
1. Design Verification: When a client sends a desirable design to Natural Way Korea Inc., after checking with a professional mold manufacturer about the possibility of manufacturing the corresponding mold and soap, Natural Way Korea Inc. will contact the client. (It is impossible to make molds for complicated forms like a star.)
2. Design Confirmation: When a client chooses the shape of a mold, the mold shape will be in the shape of the soap. When a client sends a design to Natural Way Korea Inc., after contacting a professional mold manufacturer, Natural Way Korea Inc. will send a quotation with a design file referring to the requested weight.
3. Mock-up Production (optional): When a client wants to check a mold shape, mock-up production is available. The production cost is about 40,000-50,000 won and the production period is around three days.
4. Mold Production: When a client decides to create a mold, the mold production will take about 10 days after the order.
1) For a single mold (small quantity), the cost is about 0.9-1.6 million won.
2) For two to three molds (larger quantity), the cost is about 2.5-4 million won.

What are the required labeling items on a soap packing?

Accepted Answer

The required labeling items of a soap packing are as follows.
1. Cosmetic Name: (product name)
2. How to use: Make enough foam and gently massage the cleansing area and rinse with warm water.
3. Volume: 00g (including moisture), 00g (when it is dry)
4. Cosmetic Manufacturer: Natural Way Korea Inc.

5. Responsible Cosmetic Sales Company: (Company name, company address)
6. Serial Number & Date of Manufacture A separate note (There will be a separate sign.)

8. Ingredients: (All ingredients must be listed in order of content.)
9. Precautions for Use and Storage:
1) Consult with a specialist or a doctor if there are any abnormal symptoms or side effects such as red spots, swelling or itching after using the product or exposure to direct sunlight after use.
2) Do not use on wounded areas.
3) Precautions for storage and handling
① Keep it out of reach of children.
② Avoid direct sunlight
10. If the product has a problem, compensation will be made in accordance with the “Consumer Dispute Resolution Criteria (CDRC)” announced by Fair Trade Commission.

Question 9

When is the expiry date of a beauty soap?

Accepted Answer

For a beauty soap, there is not a fixed expiry date. However, the expiry date in general is as follows.
1. General Beauty Soap: Three years
2. Deep & Rich Hydration Soap: Three years
3. Transparent Soap: Two years
4. Natural Aged Oil Soap: From 6 months to one year

※It depends on the storage condition, but it is recommended to use soap within the expiry date for the most effective results. When soap has been kept for too long, it can be dry and hard, which may cause a little difference in effects such as less foam and fragrance.
※All soaps from Natural Way Korea Inc. are kept for three years for management quality.

When should a client make a payment?

Accepted Answer

- According to the principle, 50% advanced payment (when placing an order) and 50% of the rest amount payment (after receiving a product)
